Fawcett has been selected to make his debut in the yellow and black in his home state of South Australia on the back of a standout pre-season.

The 19-year-old put up a strong performance in the Club’s VFL match against Carlton over the weekend, slotting a handy three goals.

Fawcett will replace key forward Tom Lynch, as he serves a one-match ban handed down by the MRO for rough conduct in Round 1.

The debutant will join a young and hungry forward line, with the likes of Jacob Bauer, Sam Lalor, Seth Campbell, Rhyan Mansell and Steely Green.

Re-joining the side this week is lock-down defender Kaleb Smith, who will be running out in just his fifth AFL game after a best-on-ground performance in the VFL's last pre-season match against Carlton.

The 20-year-old comes in for Tyler Sonsie who has been omitted this week and will make up one of the three emergencies for Round 2.

Jacob Blight has been given the all-clear and will line up at full-back after successfully overcoming adductor soreness.

Blight is a part of an unchanged defensive unit in Ben Miller, Jayden Short, Nick Vlaustin, Luke Trainer and Nathan Broad, who is set to play in his 150th AFL game.
