Punt Road Oval has been the home of the Richmond Football Club since the Club’s inception in 1885 and today, the Swinburne Centre at Punt Road Oval, is home to Aligned Leisure.
Health and wellbeing is a core part of being an elite sporting club, and Richmond is proud to be able to replicate this focus at a community level through its subsidiary company, Aligned Leisure.
Aligned Leisure was born as a 100% subsidiary company of the Richmond Football Club in 2015, in response to a decision to diversify revenue streams. Health and wellbeing is a core component of the football club, and Richmond saw the opportunity to extend this focus to the greater community through Aligned Leisure.
Aligned Leisure draws upon the capacity of the football club to deliver initiatives reaching deeply into communities and driving positive change in health, education, gender equity and the alleviation of disadvantage. Its key focus is to enable communities to thrive through aquatic, fitness, health, sport and wellbeing services.
Supported by the people and business systems of the Richmond Football Club, Aligned Leisure currently operates 29 leisure centres, community stadiums, pools, gyms and other facilities. Aligned Leisure employs more than 600 staff to cater for the more than 2.1 million facility visitations annually throughout the Albury City Council, City of Wodonga, Mildura Rural City Council, Nillumbik Shire Council & Cardinia Shire Council.
Richmond's @AlignedLeisure business has expanded further, with the announcement of a partnership with @ManninghamCC 🤝
