Talented Tiger ‘tall’ Mabior Chol is making the most of his return to AFL football.
Chol has got better each week since being recalled to the Richmond line-up for the Round 5 clash with Melbourne, which was his first game this season, and just his 13th overall.

He showed some extremely promising signs in the Tigers’ decisive victory over North Melbourne at Metricon Stadium last night, finishing the match with nine disposals, four marks, three tackles, two goals and four score involvements.
“I’m really enjoying my time at the senior level at the moment,” Chol told Channel Seven post-match.
“I guess a couple of games under my belt in-a-row is kind of building my confidence.
“I’ve just got to keep showing Richmond that faith that they’re giving me . . .”
The athletic 23-year-old is relishing playing up forward and providing some ruck relief in the Tigers’ team.
“I do enjoy playing in the ruck . . . trying to use my speed and agility around the ball,” Chol said.
“I’m just trying to play whatever role Dimma puts me in. So, if it’s forward or ruck, I just try and give all I’ve got.”
Richmond coach Damien Hardwick is liking what he’s seeing from Chol.
“He’s been good. He’s been in our system probably five years now, but every year he just does a little bit more to improve,” Hardwick said.
“He’s really hard to play on; he’s incredibly agile at ground level, can mark above his head and he just covers the ground well for someone that’s 6ft 7in-6ft 8in.”
