Richmond star, Brett Deledio, will spend a further week recovering from his hamstring injury before returning to the playing field for the Tigers’ final NAB Cup match, in the lead-up to the Round 1 clash with Carlton.

The Tigers are taking a cautious approach with Deledio, who injured his hamstring in Club's intra-club match on February 10.

“We wanted Brett to get through two weeks of solid training before a major hit-out,” said Richmond’s Elite Performance Manager, Matt Hornsby.

“At this time of the year, we can afford to be more conservative.

“The volume of work he has done in the pre-season means that he won’t be hindered when the regular season starts.

“He had completed all of the match simulation and training load before his injury, and has been one of the elite runners in the group all summer.”
