The VFLW Tigers continued their talent search last Friday, with an invitational Talent Day at Bendigo’s Queen Elizabeth Oval.
The Club invited 70 participants to complete a series of skills stations, followed by a 2km time trial.
Richmond based the Talent Day in Bendigo due to its connection with the region.
The regional Victorian town falls within Richmond's Next Generation Academy Zone and the Club this year formed a partnership with Bendigo Thunder.
The Talent Day was overseen by Richmond's VFLW and Academy coach Tom Hunter and AFLW football operations manager Kate Sheahan.
Recently signed VFLW Tigers Jess Kennedy and Natarsha Bamblett also assisted on the day.
“If you invite too many participants, it makes difficult to identify talent,” Sheahan said.
“With a smaller group, we were able to work closely with the participants on their skills and football craft.
“We had participants travel from Queensland, Melbourne and regional Victoria and were really impressed with the talent on display.
“We are building a strong list with a mix of experienced players and younger, emerging talent."
