The star midfielder missed Richmond's Round 14 win over Carlton through illness.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday morning, coach Damien Hardwick said the virus had "knocked Martin around a little bit" but he had trained well the past week and was "ready to go".
"The way he plays the game even at 60 per cent is far above probably most, to be fair," Hardwick said.
"He has been playing his role. We have been winning games with him playing that role. Just him being in the side is a bonus for us."
Also returning to the senior side is young midfielder Jack Ross, who earned his recall following a stunning VFL outing last Sunday which included 34 disposals, eight clearances, seven marks and one goal.
"It was an absolutely outstanding game from Jack," VFL coach Steve Morris said of Ross' performance.
"His preparation and attitude has been sensational over the past week and he played accordingly. He was hard at it, won plenty of the footy and was instrumental in our win."
Richmond will also regain the services of ruckman Ivan Soldo, who was also a strong performer at VFL level with 13 disposals, 27 hit-outs, four marks, four clearances and two goals.
The inclusions replace injured trio Trent Cotchin, Noah Balta and Kane Lambert, as well as Hugo Ralphsmith, who has been omitted.
Cotchin and Balta suffered clavicle and hamstring injuries respectively in last Thursday night's win, while Lambert continues to manage his ongoing hip issue.
Maurice Rioli Jnr, last week's activated medical substitute who also played in the VFL Tigers' win over Coburg last Sunday, has been named in the starting 22.
Ralphsmith is an emergency for the clash, alongside Ben Miller, Thomson Dow and Jake Aarts.
The Tigers' will confirm which player comes in as the medical substitute 60 minutes prior to the bounce.
The Round 15 match kicks off at 4.35pm can be viewed live on FOX FOOTY and Kayo Sports.
Hardwick said the Tigers were looking forward to the challenge against a side that is "hard to stop".
"The equation’s pretty simple, it’s just which side executes better," he said.
