Richmond has secured a trade deadline boon with Jess Hosking joining the Club from Carlton.

Hosking, a tenacious utility with 30 games of AFLW experience, will join her identical twin sister Sarah at the Club, along with selection No. 55 and No. 57 overall.

In exchange, the Tigers have handed their second-round pick, selection 23 overall, as well as pick No.40 to Carlton.

Hosking played every game for the Blues this year, averaging 13 disposals and three tackles per game across various roles around the ground.

The 25-year-old has big-game experience for Carlton, including the record-breaking 2019 AFLW Grand Final played in front of 53,000 people at Adelaide Oval.

Richmond Head of Women’s Football, Kate Sheahan, said she was thrilled to add more experience to the Tigers’ group.

“Jess is a quality person and a hardened AFLW professional,” she added.

“On field, she will provide leadership and versatility and great support for our midfielders and young players.

“Like Sarah, Jess is another that will also have a significant influence both for our team’s culture and across the broader Club.

“It is very exciting to have Jess joining us.”

Ahead of this evening’s first List Lodgement, Richmond can also announce that Akec Makur Chuot has been delisted, with the commitment of being re-drafted by the Club at the upcoming draft.

“We have needed to move Akec off the list for the time being with the full intention of retaining her at next month's draft," Sheahan said.

"Akec has been incredibly understanding and selfless throughout this process, and we have made clear to her, that there is a spot for her at Richmond for the upcoming season."

Richmond currently holds picks 5, 16, 55 and 57 in this year's AFLW Draft.
