Richmond’s second selection in last week’s 2012 AFL National Draft, Kamdyn McIntosh, will have no problems belting out the Club’s famous theme song, when he gets the opportunity to do so, after playing in his first Tiger win.
McIntosh’s junior club in WA, where he was recruited from, was the Pinjarra Tigers, and he’s had a fair bit of practice over the seasons celebrating victories with a rendition of “We’re From Tigerland”.

“About an hour’s drive south (from Perth) to Pinjarra, that’s where my home town is,” the affable 18-year-old told ‘Roar Vision’ interviewer, (still relatively young) Tiger veteran, Daniel Jackson, on the Club’s pre-season camp in Cairns.
“I grew up with Peel Thunder as my local WAFL team, and played for Pinjarra Tigers, so one Tiger to another Tiger . . . I already know the Club song because I was once a Tiger.”
What McIntosh is not so familiar with, however, is his new teammates . . .
“My first day at the Club, one of the boys I hadn’t met before came down and introduced himself. I just asked him, ‘So, how are you involved with the Club?’ And, he just told me, ‘Oh, I’m a player’,” McIntosh said.
That player, as interviewer Jackson was so quick to point out, was Chris Knights, also a Tiger newcomer for season 2013 . . .
McIntosh, 192cm and 78kg, impressed at under-18s level with the WA team in this year’s National Championships, as well as in senior ranks for Peel Thunder later in the season, playing in a variety of positions.
“This year, I played across the half-back line, as a key-position backman and also played on the wing. Then, all my juniors, I played up forward. So, I’m pretty much a utility player,” he said.
