Excitingly, as confirmed on Wednesday morning, young defender Campbell Gray will get his opportunity at AFL level, after a promising VFL stint to start the year.
Gray was selected by Richmond in the 2024 Mid-Season Rookie Draft as the No. 16 pick, proving himself as a key position utility.
The 21-year-old's call up comes after strong performances across the 2024 and 2025 VFL seasons.
The 21-year-old stands at 195cm, and after spending time across defence, forward and ruck, he brings agility to any role he plays.
Additionally, small forward Rhyan Mansell returns to the side after overcoming a shoulder setback and serving his three-match suspension.
Out of the line-up is Samson Ryan, with the big man succumbing to a foot injury after the Round 6 win over the Suns, and Noah Balta.
Luke Trainor re-joins the 22 after starting as substitute in the win over Gold Coast.
He'll slot back into the defensive six alongside Ben Miller, Nathan Broad, Nick Vlastuin, Jayden Short and Sam Banks.
The forward line will stay unchanged, with Jack Ross, Seth Campbell, Steely Green, Maurice Rioli, Tom Lynch and Jonty Faull making up the attacking six.
The interchange is made up of Mansell, Gray, Kamdyn McIntosh, Sam Lalor and Tom Brown. One of those five will be named the sub an hour before the first bounce on Thursday night.
Jacob Bauer, Kaleb Smith and Tyler Sonsie make up the extended squad as emergencies.
The Tigers face off against Melbourne on Thursday night at the MCG from 7.30pm (AEST).
