Richmond coach Damien Hardwick is confident the Tigers’ 45-point loss to the Sydney Swans at the MCG last Saturday will prove to be a blessing in disguise.

“We look at everything as a gift. It teaches us some lessons. That’s the way you’ve got to look at it from our point of view,” Hardwick said.

“We’ll go to work and we’ll get a better result – not necessarily next week, or the week after, but it’ll come . . .

“The game’s evolving, there’s no doubt about it. So, for us, we’ve got to make sure – and we’ve known it – but we’ve just got to tinker with a couple of things in our game plan to make sure we continue to challenge ourselves to get better again.”
