Richmond has confirmed the initial changes to its AFLW playing list for the 2022 season.
Holly Whitford, Luka Lesosky-Hay, Cleo Saxon-Jones and Emily Harley were advised this week they will not be offered playing contracts for next year.
Whitford played four games for the Club in 2020, including Richmond’s inaugural AFLW game against Carlton at Ikon Park.
The 22-year-old did not play a game at any level this year due to a foot injury and will leave Tigerland with eight AFLW matches to her name, having previously played for Collingwood.
Saxon-Jones and Harley were also members of Richmond's inaugural squad, neither player featured at senior level during their two years at the Club.
Lesosky-Hay managed one AFLW game from her sole season on the list. The inside midfielder had also been a train-on player during the Club's debut season.
Richmond Head of Women’s Football, Kate Sheahan, thanked all four players for their contributions to the Club.
“On behalf of everyone at Richmond I would like to thank Holly, Luka, Emily and Cleo for their hard work and dedication throughout their time in our AFLW program,” she said.
“We wish them all the very best for the future."
