Richmond defender Oleg Markov will continue his AFL career at Gold Coast SUNS after a trade was reached today.
In exchange for Markov, Richmond will receive Gold Coast’s future third round selection, to be used in the 2021 NAB AFL Draft.
Markov, 24, departs Richmond after five years and 23 games at Tigerland. The dashing defender was a member of the 2019 VFL premiership.
Richmond General Manager - Football Talent, Blair Hartley, thanked Markov for his time at the Club.
“We would like to thank Oleg for his hard work and dedication to the Richmond Football Club over the past five seasons,” he said.
“Oleg is a fantastic young man and popular teammate and we respect his decision to further his career on the Gold Coast.
“Everyone at Richmond wishes Oleg all the best in his next chapter.”
Richmond currently holds selections 21, 35, 60, 78 and 96 in the 2020 NAB AFL Draft.
