Coburg has bounced back from last week’s loss to Port Melbourne, defeating Bendigo Gold in the VFL on Sunday.

The Tigers were made to work hard for their third win of the season against the bottom-placed Bendigo, with a late rally ensuring a 10-point victory.

Reece Conca was one of the best afield in his return game from injury, picking up 24 disposals from about 70 minutes of game time.

Fellow midfielders Robin Nahas (25 disposals and a goal) and Matt Arnot (20 possessions and seven clearances) were also impressive.

Orren Stephenson (33 hitouts) and Tom Derickx (20) dominated the ruck, while Luke McGuane and Liam McBean kicked two goals each.

Richmond-listed youngster Brett O’Hanlon also made a successful return from a long-term injury, collecting 13 disposals.

Coburg has the bye this weekend, before a meeting with Collingwood at Victoria Park on Sunday, June 16.
