Throughout 282 games of league football with Richmond, the great Matthew Richardson consistently displayed levels of bravery that have made him one of the all-time revered figures among the Yellow and Black faithful.

But no act of courage that ‘Richo’ ever exhibited on-field, over the course of his stellar 17-season AFL career, could even come close to the inspirational act of valour that the man, somehow, was able to show on the Club’s podcast phenomenon, ‘Talking Tigers’ this week.

Just one day after going under the knife, to have an old knee wound fixed, our hero fronted up at the TT studios, ready, willing and partially able, to fulfil his role on the runaway ratings’ success.

Ignoring the pain that was searing through his knee, this valiant Tiger soldiered on, much to the awe-struck astonishment of his TT colleagues, who actually felt slightly awkward being in the presence of such exalted company.

The bottom line is, it all makes for fascinating listening on this week’s episode of Talking Tigers.

Remember, if the Tigers turn you on, turn on to Talking Tigers.
