Richmond’s dynamic full-forward Jack Riewoldt was rewarded for his superb six-goal performance in last Sunday’s win against St Kilda with nine votes in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year award.
Riewoldt received best-on-ground recognition from respective coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and Alan Richardson (St Kilda), and those votes took his season’s tally in the prestigious award to 30 – the fourth highest at the Club, behind Brandon Ellis (59), Dustin Martin (45) and Trent Cotchin (45).

Dual Jack Dyer Medallist Brett Deledio continued his impressive form surge during the second half of the season, picking up six votes from the coaches for a Round 22 display that netted him 26 disposals, including 11 score involvements, five inside-50s and two goals.
‘Ball-magnet’ midfielder Anthony Miles also collected six votes after racking up 25 disposals, including 12 contested possessions and 10 clearances in the clash with the Saints.
It was the sixth time in just 11 games this season that Miles has been awarded coaches votes.
The other Richmond player to poll votes in Round 22 was defender Troy Chaplin. He got three votes for his excellent 29-disposal, 15-mark effort.
