Talented utility player Daniel Connors has been recalled to the Richmond side for Saturday’s Round 12 clash with Greater Western Sydney.

It will be Connors’ first AFL game in more than a year, following a frustrating injury run.

The 23-year-old, who has managed just 27 games since making his senior league debut in 2007, hasn’t played for Richmond since its Round 3 loss to Hawthorn last season.

His 2011 season was wrecked by a nagging tendon injury in his quadriceps, and it’s been a long road back for the versatile left-footer.

But after several impressive performances at VFL level with Coburg, Connors has clinched his Richmond return.

The Tigers have made two other changes for Saturday’s game, with livewire small forward Jake King and tall forward Brad Miller coming into the team.

King has served the one-week suspension that kept him out of last Saturday’s loss to Fremantle at the MCG, while Miller is back for his first game since the Round 8 Dreamtime defeat.

The three Richmond outs this week are Steven Morris, with a shoulder injury, Ty Vickery, leg injury, and Addam Maric, who has been omitted.

Richmond’s three emergencies for Saturday’s game are Luke McGuane, Matthew White and Angus Graham.
