Kamdyn McIntosh is another of those Richmond role players who goes about his football business in a no-frills manner.

The premiership Tiger tends to slide under the radar of the wider football community, but the Yellow and Black faithful are well aware of his value to the team.

After five rounds this season, McIntosh is averaging 13.8 disposals, 3.6 marks and 3.6 inside-50s per game.

Through his hard, two-way running, strength, aerial ability and efficient disposal, he continues to be an important contributor for the Tigers.

“I feel like the last few rounds I’ve got back to where I was at in finals footy last year and my role,” McIntosh said on the Club’s official podcast ‘Talking Tigers’.

“During pre-season you get back into running and doing all that sort of stuff and you want to take your game to the next level. And sometimes you can forget those little things that you were doing on game day.

“But I feel like the last few weeks it’s really improved and I’ve got back to that, and then adding a few strings to my game from there . . .

“I’ve found the last few weeks really good, actually, and I’m enjoying it.”

McIntosh also revealed the key area of improvement in his game that he’s focused on.

“I love being a bit of a connector out on that wing and just really getting connected from the half-back line to the half-forward line and the ‘mids’ inside, on-ball. And just a bit of voice, instructing some of the younger boys . . . as well as obviously getting forward and back, helping out each position. I want to take that connecting part of my game to the next level,” he said.
