Richmond’s spread of goalkickers was a highlight of yesterday’s decisive victory over Gold Coast.
The Tigers had 11 players score goals in their 83-point win at the MCG (Vickery, Deledio, Martin, Lloyd, Riewoldt, Lambert, Ellis, Newman, Maric, Thomas and Grigg).
Coach Damien Hardwick was particularly pleased to see so many players share the goalkicking load in the team’s final total of 22.6 (138).

“You look at the majority of sides up the top of the ladder. Hawthorn, by far, are the best example, the way they spread the ball,” Hardwick said.
“Probably at no stage have we really had a settled forward six.
“I think we’ve been pretty stable through the middle and back end of the ground, but Shane Edwards hasn’t played for probably five weeks, Brett (Deledio) has been in and out, Ben Griffiths has been in and out, Ty (Vickery) the same.

“So we’re looking forward to getting some consistency in that area.
“In saying that, we’re pleased with some of the players today . . . Sam Lloyd chips in for three (goals), we get three goals (each) out of Deledio, (Dustin) Martin, and a couple to Jack (Riewoldt) . . . then Ty puts his hands up with four goals . . .
“It was a good spread.”
