Richmond has received its 2025 AFL fixture, which will include marquee home matches and five consecutive MCG clashes in late April and May.
The Tigers host Carlton (Round 1), Essendon (Round 11), Collingwood (Round 20) and Geelong (Round 24) as part of the fixture released today by the AFL.
Richmond will also travel to every state that has an AFL team, as well as Tasmania throughout 2025, giving many sections of the Tiger Army the chance to attend matches.
Bookended by blockbuster clashes on Anzac Day Eve and Dreamtime at the ‘G, the five-match MCG run of fixtures also includes home clashes against West Coast and North Melbourne on May 11 and 18.
The two Sunday 1.10pm matchups are family friendly, and highly accessible for the many Richmond fans who travel from country Victoria.
In an exciting move, this year’s Dreamtime match has been slated for the Friday night, with the clash locked in for Round 11 on May 23.
Richmond CEO Shane Dunne said the Club was excited by the decision to move Dreamtime at the G to a Friday night, adding that the entire fixture was family-friendly.
“Moving Dreamtime at the ‘G to a Friday night opens the audience and gives us a chance to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their contribution to the game on an even greater level,” he said.
“Playing in every state that has an AFL team and returning to Tasmania also creates an excellent opportunity for all our fans to see us up close in 2025.
“Home games against Brisbane (4.15 pm Saturday), West Coast and North Melbourne (both Sunday 1.10 pm) early in the season are at suitable times for families and travelling country fans, which is also really exciting.”

Dunne added that the Tiger Army would have a strong chance to continue its excellent attendance history when hosting home games against Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, and Geelong.
“Traditionally, these games have always brought in big home crowds, so our members can rest assured that there will be some huge games with a trademark Richmond atmosphere to look forward to.
“We are really excited by what lies ahead. Next week’s National Draft is an important part of that, and this fixture will give our supporters around Australia a great chance to see these young players in action and be a part of their journey from the beginning.”
Richmond’s first home match of the campaign is the now-traditional Thursday night Round 1 opener against Carlton (March 13) at the MCG, with the potential for some exciting fresh faces to be in action.
The Tigers then play away games in Rounds 2 and 3 against Port Adelaide (Adelaide Oval) and St Kilda (Marvel Stadium).
Richmond will host reigning premiers Brisbane in a Saturday twilight home match at the MCG, before heading to Barossa to face Fremantle in Gather Round and a home clash against the Suns Saturday night at Marvel Stadium (Round 6).
