Richmond star Brett Deledio is pressing strongly for a return to the Tigers’ line-up, after missing the past four games with a calf complaint.
Deledio trained impressively in a long session at the Club today, and has his sights set on playing against North Melbourne at Hobart’s Blundstone Arena this Saturday.
“It felt good . . . I’ve just got to wait and see,” Deledio said on this week’s episode of the Club’s official podcast ‘Talking Tigers’.
“If I pull up really well, then 100 percent I’ll put my hand up (to play).
“I probably wouldn’t play a full game, but if that means being vested one way or the other, and I play my part, well, then, I’m happy with that.
“But I’ve got to see how I pull up first. Fingers crossed, but I’m doing everything right so far . . .
So, firstly, I’ll see how I pull up tomorrow, and then train Thursday.
“It won’t be as big a session as I did today, but hopefully I’ll recover well and, with a bit of luck, I’ll jump on the plane with the boys and be pulling on the boots.
“I’m looking forward to it, too . . . I’ve had enough (of being on the sidelines).”
