Richmond mature-age recruit, Kane Lambert, continues to repay the faith shown in him by the Tigers.
The tenacious 23-year-old midfielder produced the best performance of his six-game AFL career in last Saturday’s narrow loss to Fremantle at the MCG.
He had 22 disposals, including an equal team-high 13 contested possessions, a game-high eight clearances, a team-high four centre clearances, an equal game-high 10 score involvements and four inside-50s, plus a team-high six tackles.
Lambert was overlooked in several AFL drafts, before being picked up by Richmond at pick 46 overall in the rookie draft late last year.

On the eve of the season, he was promoted to the primary playing list, and he subsequently made his senior debut for the Tigers in the Round 2 clash with the Western Bulldogs at the MCG.
Unfortunately, Lambert suffered a severe shoulder injury in that match, which sidelined him for a couple of months.
But, after just one game back in Richmond’s VFL team, Lambert received the call-up again for senior duties with the Tigers.
In his five games since, he has improved each week, culminating in his first-rate display against the top-of-the-table Dockers last Saturday.
“I’m enjoying my time at Richmond and extremely grateful for the opportunity as well,” Lambert said on Channel Nine’s ‘Future Stars’ program.
“You come into the Club and I suppose you feel like the time-bomb’s ticking a little bit and you’ve just got to do everything possible.
“I’m not happy just being there (in the AFL system), I want to contribute and hopefully go on to have a long career.
“But at the moment I’m just enjoying my footy and looking to improve every day.”
