Powerhouse Richmond midfielder Dustin Martin has scored a perfect 10 in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year votes for the Round 10 clash with Fremantle at Domain Stadium.
Martin received 10 votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and Ross Lyon (Fremantle) for his dynamic display in the Tigers’ convincing 27-point win last Friday night. He had a game-high 34 disposals, including 12 contested possessions, five clearances, five inside-50s, took eight marks, and kicked a trademark team-lifting goal.

Talented Tiger playmaker Shane Edwards moved into seventh place in the 2015 AFLCA Player of the Year award after collecting five votes for his classy 25-disposal performance against the Dockers, which included four clearances, along with six marks and a crucial last-quarter goal. Edwards now has 32 votes in the prestigious award, which is led by Fremantle star Nathan Fyfe, with 80 votes.
The Tigers’ captain Trent Cotchin received four votes after finishing the Round 10 match with 25 disposals, including 13 contested possessions and four clearances.
Rising Richmond star Brandon Ellis also polled four votes following another excellent, hard-running effort, which netted him 26 disposals and seven marks.
Rebounding defender Bachar Houli was the other Tiger player to feature in the votes this week, picking up one after gathering 23 disposals, including six rebound-50s.
