Brilliant Richmond playmaker Brett Deledio was awarded the most votes in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year award for the Round 22 match against Essendon at the MCG.

Deledio, who finished with 22 disposals, including seven inside-50s, a game-high 11 score involvements and two goals in another classy display, received eight votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and Matthew Egan (Essendon).

Lennon earns Rising Star nomination

The Tigers’ gun key defender Alex Rance again was rewarded for his excellent form, picking up seven votes for a performance that netted him 22 disposals, including 11 contested possessions, a game-high eight interceptions, seven rebound-50s, four marks and four tackles.

Rising Richmond stars Kamdyn McIntosh and Nick Vlastuin collected five votes apiece for their valuable contributions in the Tigers’ 27-point win last Saturday night.

McIntosh had a team-high 27 disposals, with a team-high 607 metres gained, five score involvements and seven marks.

Vlastuin had 17 disposals, including eight contested possessions, five rebound-50s, along with four marks and five tackles.
