Richmond’s training session and kids’ clinic in Beaconsfield today (Friday, January 22) has unfortunately been cancelled due to predicted thunderstorms and high rainfall in the region.

“Both the Club and our fans in the Cardinia region were looking forward to the event in Beaconsfield, however we take safety very seriously, and also believe in delivering a quality experience to our fans,” Richmond’s General Manager of Consumer Business, Cain Liddle said.

“We believe that the weather will compromise both the safety, and the experience for our fans and players,” Liddle said.

The Club and its partners, the Cardinia Shire Council and Parklea will aim to reschedule the event at a later date.

Two further family open training sessions have been scheduled in by the Club on Sunday March 6 and Sunday March 20 at Punt Road Oval, Richmond.

At both these sessions, members and fans will be able to watch the players train, access player autographs, enjoy kids’ rides, face painters and activities, and purchase food and drink, merchandise and memberships.
