Talented Richmond small defender Jayden Short’s match-sealing goal against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval in Round 15 has been voted by Yellow and Black barrackers as the eighth best by a Tiger player for the Club’s 2017 premiership year.

Late in the last quarter of the tight contest, with the Tigers clinging to a 13-point lead, Short, who had drifted into the team’s forward half, pounced on a wayward kick out of the Power’s defence, burst clear and then, on his non-preferred left foot, drilled it through the big sticks from outside the 50-metre arc to put the result beyond any doubt.

The seventh best Richmond goal of the year, as voted on by Tiger fans, will be revealed later today.
