Skilful, speedy, small forward Dan Butler was a revelation in his debut season of AFL football for Richmond in 2017, finishing third on the Club’s goalkicking list with 30 goals.
One of those goals – against Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium in Round 7 – was voted by Yellow and Black barrackers as the ninth best by a Tiger player for the 2017 premiership season.
Late in the first quarter of the clash with the Dogs, Butler pounced on a ball delivered into Richmond’s forward-50, gathered it brilliantly on the half-volley, then hooked it across his body for a superb six-pointer.
The seventh and eighth best Richmond goals of the year, as voted on by Tiger fans, will be revealed tomorrow, Tuesday, October 24.
