RICHMOND forward Todd Elton may require surgery on a dislocated shoulder suffered in the VFL against Werribee at Beaconsfield on Saturday afternoon.
Ruckman Ivan Soldo was also unable to finish the game but his outlook is more positive.
VFL Tigers dealt five-point loss
Elton had his arm in a sling at the end of the match and football manager Neil Balme told News Corp the tall may require an operation.
"He has a dislocated shoulder. We will see him tomorrow and make some sort of decision. Some blokes need surgery and some don't. Hopefully he doesn't," Balme said.
Soldo landed awkwardly in a marking contest but should be fine.
"It looked like he had done something to his knee but his hip was jammed up. We think he's reasonably good," Balme said.
The Tigers have a bye in the AFL in round 12 before facing Sydney on Saturday, June 17, at the MCG.
Fellow big men Shaun Hampson (back) and Ben Griffiths (concussion) are also sidelined.
