The Richmond Football Club’s commitment to the Alannah & Madeline Foundation has reached new heights, with the Club raising more than $166,000 in 2017.
This takes the Club’s total support for its charity partner over the past seven years to almost $500,000.
The Alannah & Madeline Foundation is a national charity with the vision that all children have the right to a safe and happy childhood free from violence.
Richmond’s partnership with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, which was first established in 2012, will continue to raise funds and awareness to support the Foundation’s work.
The 2017 Richmond contribution to the Foundation is a result of its fundraising activities which include Foundation memberships, a dedicated match-day and 5% of net merchandise sales.
CEO Brendon Gale said the partnership was significant for the Richmond Football Club.
“We are extremely proud of our dedicated partnership with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation,” Gale said.
“The work they undertake in keeping children safe from violence is critical in our community and there is nothing more important.
“We are thrilled to have helped the Foundation raise this amount of money to help with their mission to ensure every child lives in a safe and supportive environment.
“It’s also wonderful to see that our members and supporters have wholeheartedly invested in this partnership, supporting the activities we have undertaken to raise funds and awareness. They are integral to the success of this partnership and they should be proud of what we have achieved together."
