Lively Richmond premiership forward Jason Castagna celebrated his return to the playing field, after a couple of weeks on the sidelines with a minor knee injury, by taking a spectacular mark in last Friday night’s match against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
In the pressure-packed final quarter of the tight contest, with the visitors trailing by 17 points, but pressing deep forward, Castagna got the ride on Power defender Tom Clurey and propelled himself skywards to pluck a super-impressive mark.
He then went back and slotted the goal that kept the Tigers in the hunt.
Castagna’s high-flying highlight has received due acknowledgment, as one of the three Round 12 nominees for the AFL’s Mark of the Year.
