Richmond captain Trent Cotchin has opened up about the composure within the Tigers’ playing group that holds them in such good stead on match day, regardless of how high the intensity levels rise to.
Cotchin believes a cool, calm and collected approach is the result of each player precisely knowing their on-field role.
“You can sense that there’s an element of relaxation within our team, whether it be VFL or AFL. Guys are just really clear in what’s expected of them and also how they can perform on weekends,” Cotchin told ‘Roar Vision’.
“I think that creates a pretty healthy culture and a healthy path, for guys to know exactly what’s expected of them.”
Cotchin is confident the top-of-the-table Tigers have more improvement in them at the business end of season 2018.
“We think that there’s still growth there, which is really exciting for our group,” he said.
“A few guys will miss the next couple of weeks here and there, but we’re looking forward to what’s going to be a fierce competition throughout the finals period.”
