Richmond has regained the services of skipper Trent Cotchin and utility Noah Balta for Sunday afternoon’s final home and away match against Brisbane at the MCG.
THANK YOU Join us at Sunday's Round 23 'Thank you Tiger Army' match against the Brisbane Lions
Second-year Tiger Balta comes into Richmond’s line-up for his first senior outing since Round 13.
The athletic 19-year-old showcased his versatility in the first half of the season, playing in 12 of the first 13 senior games. His inclusion in the Round 23 side will give Richmond’s ruck stocks a boost in Toby Nankervis’ absence.
Balta produced a dominant display at VFL level last weekend, punctuated by 18 disposals (14 contested possessions), 21 hit-outs, seven clearances and two goals.
The Tigers will welcome back Cotchin for Sunday’s big clash following three weeks sidelined with a minor hamstring strain.
Out of the side that defeated West Coast by six points last Sunday are Jack Ross and Mabior Chol, who have both been omitted.
Richmond’s four emergencies for the Lions clash are Ross, Chol, Kamdyn McIntosh and Jake Aarts.
