Sydney Stack is going from strength to strength in his debut season of AFL football.
The talented Tiger cub was a rare shining light on a bleak night for Richmond against North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium yesterday.
He finished with an AFL career-high 24 disposals, took five marks and applied four tackles in the Tigers’ 37-point loss.
Despite North’s dominance, Stack was steadfast in Richmond’s defence.
Yet again, he displayed exemplary composure in the heat of battle and a maturity way beyond his nine games of league football.
Stack is averaging 17.3 disposals, 5.8 marks and 3.1 tackles in his inaugural season at the game’s highest level.
Among the competition’s rising star contenders, he is ranked first in intercepts, second in marks, seventh in disposals and seventh in tackles.
