Richmond defender Reece Conca will make his return from the long-term injury list via the VFL this weekend.

Conca was sidelined for the first seven rounds of the 2016 AFL season after injuring his hamstring in the Tigers final NAB Challenge match against Port Adelaide.

Conca is a big inclusion for Richmond’s VFL side, which hosts North Ballarat this Saturday afternoon in a curtain-raiser to the AFL team’s Round 8 clash against Sydney at the MCG.

Tigers ruckman Ivan Maric and defender David Astbury will also feature in VFL action this weekend as they push for senior selection.

The VFL Tigers will set out to secure their second win for the season when they take on the Roosters in Round 6.

North Ballarat sits 14th on the ladder following one win, three losses and a bye, while Richmond’s VFL side is ranked 12th.

Saturday’s match kicks off at 4.30pm, with gates opening at 3:30pm
