Richmond defender Kaleb Smith has been nominated for the Virgin Australia AFL Mark of the Year, after his high-flying effort against St Kilda was voted as the best grab in Round 3.
Late in the fourth quarter of last Saturday’s clash, Smith soared over the back of former Tiger Jack Higgins to pull down an impressive speccy and repel a St Kilda attack.

Smith was up against Port Adelaide’s Mitch Georgiades and West Coast’s Harley Reid in the fan vote to determine the best mark of Round 3. With the win, the 20-year-old Tiger is now nominated to win the Mark of the Year.
Richmond has had four Mark of the Year winners in its history - Shai Bolton (2021), Michael Mitchell (1990), Geoff Raines (1982) and Michael Roach (1979).
The Tigers return to the MCG on Saturday to face the Brisbane Lions at 4:15. Tickets are available here.
