Richmond veteran Tom Lynch knows the Club is in a new era.
But that doesn't mean the little wins have to stop coming.
So, he's taking on the enthusiasm and energy from the Tiger cubs who have brought a fresh perspective to Punt Road.
"Obviously the Club's changed quite quickly. That's footy clubs, they do change. Guys come and go all the time," Lynch said on Channel 7's Sunday Footy Feast.
"It's exciting. I drove Sammy Lalor to the game, he comes in the car and goes, 'we're playing at the 'G today, how exciting is this?'
"You don't take it for granted at all, the enthusiasm."
Lalor's zest for the game and the bright lights of the MCG haven't gone unnoticed, either.
"He's telling me after the game that he plays well there," Lynch said after Richmond's Round 4 loss to Brisbane.
"If you're going to play well at a ground, the 'G is the one you play well at."
It's not just the No.1 Draft pick who has left an impression on 32-year-old Lynch.
"Harry Armstrong, I thought he was fantastic. He battled hard and got the reward in the end," he said.
The two-time premiership Tiger also lauded Jacob Blight's improvement this season.
"He's an example of a bloke who has had to battle away for a while," Lynch said.
"He gets his opportunity and whatever is asked of him, he's going to do.
"He's played back, he's played forward, ruck. He hasn't played midfield yet but who knows?
"He's loving his footy. He works bloody hard."
It's not just on field where big changes have occurred. With new coaches in tow, Lynch knows the Club is in good hands, with winning foundations laid.
"It's refreshing, we've got a whole new team of assistants," Lynch said of the coaching staff.
"For us older guys, we're just trying to impart as much wisdom in the young guys and give them the license to play in that fashion."
The Tigers head into Round 5 with a 1-3 record, but signs of improvement are evident with just a month of football under the belt.
"We've got internal KPIs. We're proud of the effort, but we don't want to be complacent. You don't want to be accepting of losses," Lynch said.
"We felt better walking off (in Round 4 against Brisbane) than the week before against the Saints.
"We managed to fight it out."
Richmond head to the Barossa Valley in South Australia this weekend to take on Fremantle, as part of the AFL's Gather Round.
It will be Lynch's first Gather Round experience, after missing the last two years due to injury.
"I haven't played the last two, so I'm excited to get over there," he said.
The Tigers face off against the Dockers on Sunday from 12.35pm (AEST).
