Richmond is confident a nine-day break between matches will provide its players with an ideal preparation for this Sunday’s Elimination Final against North Melbourne.

The Tigers’ Physical Performance Manager, Peter Burge, told Roar Vision that despite the significance of the game, preparations will be no different to any other week.

“We’ve had a couple of nine day breaks this year already, after some Friday night games into Sunday,” he said.

“We’ve got a really good template for it, and we should be fine.

“Everything will be as normal. We’ll recover well, we’ll train. Nothing really changes.

“The guys have matured and they know exactly what to do, so they’ll be ready.”

Richmond’s list is almost at full strength, with Reece Conca overcoming his hamstring injury and declaring himself available to play, if required.

Key forward Ben Griffiths is tracking ahead of schedule in his recovery from finger surgery, and should be available if Richmond progress further into September.

“Reece has had two good weeks of training now, and is available to play if needed,” Burge said.
“And Ben is ahead of schedule.  He probably needs another week, but we’re hoping to have him available beyond this week.”
