Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris provides a summary of how the Tigers’ players performed in Sunday's two-point win over GWs at Giants Stadium.
Lachlan Street (29 disposals, 18 contested possessions, 10 clearances, seven inside-50s)
"Almost the complete game from him. He was crucial in the last quarter and played a really solid role for us in helping out our backs through his work-rate"
Angus Hicks (23 disposals, five tackles, four clearances)
"His best game for the club. He was asked to play a role inside at different stages, and I thought his pressure both up forward and around the footy was fantastic. He was a really important part of us winning the game."
Tyler Sonsie (22 disposals, six inside-50s, four clearances)
"Didn't have the game that we've come to expect of him at this level. He'll be looking to bounce back with an improved performance next week."
James Trezise (17 disposals, eight marks, five tackles)
"His good was very good, he's a really exciting player for Tigers fans moving forward. His contest work is brilliant and one on one, he's as good as anyone."
Austin Johnson (17 disposals, seven inside-50s, five clearances)
"He's been in good form for much of the year, but he performed a really important role for us going inside when Cam Olden went off with a concussion. It's really important for him and the team to be able to play wing, half-back and also in the midfield, which he did on the weekend."
Cam Olden (17 disposals, seven tackles, five clearances)
"Was on track for an incredible game with 17 disposals, 10 contested possessions, seven tackles and five clearances in less than half of the game. But unfortunately he went off and we look forward to having him back when he is recovered from his concussion."
Sam Banks (16 disposals, four rebound-50s, three marks, one goal)
"Struggled to get into the game on the wing on the first half so we put him in the backline and I thought he was really important with his run and contests. It was also nice to see him finish a really beautiful set-shot from outside 50."
Bigoa Nyuon (15 disposals, 10 hit-outs, five marks, two goals)
"Had a fantastic game. Would have loved for him to convert a bit better in front of goals, but he's getting himself to some fantastic positions and is looking extremely promising forward of the footy."
Brad Melville (15 disposals, four clearances, four inside-50s)
"I thought Brad had a reasonable game playing at half-forward. He was really important in a couple of passages late, had really smart ball-use and played his role perfectly for the team."
Harrison White (14 disposals, four clearances, four inside-50s)
"Had some really good moments but also was exposed a little bit around the footy. H'll take some good lessons out of that vision as he hasn't spent a lot of time playing in the midfield."
Steely Green (13 disposals, three marks, two inside-50s)
"Really pleased for Steely to have a breakout game. He could have easily influenced the scoreboard more heavily, having missed a couple of gettable shots, but I'm really proud of his mature decision to centre the ball right at the end of the game when he could have gone the glory shot from the boundary."
Tom Brindley (13 disposals, seven hit-outs, three marks)
"He's a really unique player. He's powerful in the air and he can play a number of roles for us. He is equally as effective at ground level, as we saw in the dying stages, with some really important passages and clean hands around the footy."
Jacob Bauer (12 disposals, six marks, six rebound-50s, one goal)
"I really liked the version of him that we saw on the weekend. He was rally powerful in the air with some big spoils that made a big difference to our defence. And he looked strong in the air when he went up forward in the final quarter as well. It's nice to see him have flexibility and impact at both ends of the ground."
Ben Miller (12 disposals, eight hit-outs, four marks, four tackles)
"A really solid game. Importantly, He did't lose many aerial contests at all on the day, and I thought he set us up really well when he moved down back late in the game."
Misilifi Faimalo (12 disposals, four marks, three inside-50s)
"He's progressing really nicely. He's a player we want in the side for his speed, but I think his offensive game is really improving at the moment. Having said that, his defensive pressure and work-rate is outstanding."
Luke Teal (12 disposals, five rebound-50s, four marks)
"Was a valuable contributor to the back six once again. He won a couple of really crucial contests."
Matt Coulthard (11 disposals, six inside-50s, five marks, one goal)
"Tigers fans would be really pleased with what they saw from him in his first game at VFL level. It was really pleasing to see not only his offensive impact, but he's someone who can influence the game heavily on defence."
Mutaz El Nour (11 disposals, five marks, three rebound-50s)
"Low possessions, but I really loved his game. He is so diligent on defence, he works his backside off to play a system for us and help us teammates out, and his physicality was fantastic down back as well."
Mykelti Lefau (10 disposals, four marks, one goal)
"Everyone was keen to see him back in action after 13 months on the sidelines, and it didn't take long for Tigers supporters to see what we've been missing. He had a huge impact on the game, had six bone-crunching tackles, and a role in a number of scoring opportunities. "
Tom Brown (nine disposals, three tackles, three rebound-50s)
"Played down back in his first game for the year. He didn't have a huge offensive output, but what I saw from him defensively was a real willingness to defend, and it's a really good starting point for his season. Late in the game he was able to find a free player in the corridor with some slick hands to give us our final scoring opportunity."

Kaelan Bradtke (eight disposals, four marks, one goal)
"Hot and cold game from him. He stood out in the air at different stages, taking three contested marks, but I'd love to see him be able to halve a few more contests and have a little bit more impact when the ball hits the ground."
Max Clohesy (eight disposals, three tackles, two inside-50s)
"Although his numbers don't look fantastic, he was a really solid contributor. He is invested in our defence and we've got a lot to work with."
Ben Bilston-McGillen (five disposals, two tackles, one goal)
"Great to see Ben take his moment in the last quarter. he wins contests and he gets scoring opportunities, but it was the one that mattered most in the last quarter that we were pleased to see sail through."
