Richmond will face Carlton, St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs in the opening three rounds of the 2013 home-and-away season.

As outlined in the official fixture, released by the AFL today, the Tigers’ opening match will be against the Blues to kick off the Easter Weekend, at the MCG on Thursday, March 28.

They will then take centre stage in Round 2 with a Friday night fixture against the Saints at the MCG.

Richmond's first home game comes in Round 3, when it hosts the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, April 14.
In other features of the Club’s fixture, the Tigers will travel interstate six times in 2013 - to Sydney twice, Perth twice, Adelaide once and Cairns once (a home game against the Suns).

The bye weekend arrives in Round 11, following the trip West to play the Eagles at Patersons Stadium.

Richmond plays a total of 13 matches at the MCG, including nine home games.  Five of the last seven games of the 2013 season will be held at the venue, including a final-round clash with Essendon.

The Tigers play three games in total at Etihad Stadium, and just one home game (Round 3).

The Club plays Carlton, Essendon, Fremantle, St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs twice each.

And Richmond fans can expect to see 12 games broadcast on free to air television, on Channel 7.
