Veteran midfielder Shane Tuck has been recalled to the Richmond line-up for Saturday night’s final home-and-away round clash with Essendon at the MCG.

Tuck, who earlier today announced his retirement from league football at the end of the 2013 season, comes back into the side, along with mature-aged ruckman Orren Stephenson.

They replace star spearhead, Jack Riewoldt, who is out with a back injury and Shane Edwards, who will serve a one-match suspension handed down by the Match Review Panel, arising from a striking charge in last Sunday’s crushing victory over Greater Western Sydney.

Tuck has played nine games for the Tigers this season, the last being as a substitute against Carlton at the MCG in Round 21, where he picked up 16 disposals in only a quarter and a half of game time.

Stephenson has played five games in his debut season with Richmond after joining the Club from Geelong late last year.  His last appearance for the Tigers was in the Round 19 win against ladder leader Hawthorn at the MCG.

The three Tiger emergencies for Sunday’s Round 23 match are Robin Nahas, Sam Lonergan and Matt Dea.
