Richmond took its pre-season up a notch on Thursday with a match simulation at the Swinburne Centre.
The Tigers put their pre-season focuses into practice during two 20-minute halves, with a few VFL-listed players also taking part. The group was divided into two teams, one side wearing black and the other in white.
There was much to like about the contested hit-out, the team gelling well as they showed an exciting glimpse into the season ahead.
Veteran Tiger Trent Cotchin starred as he booted four goals and marked strongly inside-50, while Jack Riewoldt kicked two.
Superstar Dustin Martin also hit the scoreboard, showcasing his damaging form following a full pre-season.
Assistant coach Andrew McQualter said the decorated Tiger was "in a great spot".
"We're rapt that he's been able to do all the training this pre-season," McQualter said.
"He hasn't really missed a session at all, so hopefully it's a really exciting year ahead for him."
New Tiger Tim Taranto showed exactly why he was brought to the Club, moving seamlessly through the midfield. He also found the big sticks, and worked in tandem with fellow recruit and former GWS teammate Jacob Hopper.
"They're very good, strong, contest players, first-possession players," McQualter said.
Rebounding defender Daniel Rioli was impactful through his dash off half-back, while wingman Marlion Pickett was a solid contributor throughout.

Excitement machine Shai Bolton displayed his trademark silky skills and high-flying athleticism, and down back, Dylan Grimes and Nick Vlastuin were pillars in defence.
Judson Clarke slotted the first goal of the day and had a hand in others, while fellow youngster Hugo Ralphsmith exhibited his hard running.
Key forward Tom Lynch missed the hit-out as he builds up his workload following plantar fasciitis surgery in December.
"He's really building up his running and within the next few weeks, he'll be back into training and be in good shape," McQualter said.
