Richmond’s score against Gold Coast in Cairns last Saturday was its lowest winning total in 18 years.

The Tigers mustered just 6.17 (53) in the difficult conditions at Cazalys Stadium, but that was nine points better than the Suns’ 6.8 (44).

You have to go all the way back to 1995 to find a lower Richmond winning score.

That happened in Round 3 of the ’95 season, at a rain-soaked Waverley Park, the Tigers scored 4.16 (40) to defeat Hawthorn 5.4 (34).

Richmond had just two goalkickers that day – the Club’s current CEO, Brendon Gale, who booted two, and former champion forward-turned multi-media megastar, Matthew Richardson, who also notched two.
