Richmond VFL coach Tim Clarke has departed the Club, to join the Carlton Football Club’s coaching panel.
Clarke will take up a role as a midfield line coach at the Blues, after two seasons as coach of the Tigers’ standalone VFL team.
“Tim has been relentless in his approach at Richmond, and was instrumental in the formation of our standalone VFL team, and the development program,” said Richmond’s General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson.
“While we don’t like losing good people from our organisation, we have been aware of Carlton’s approach, and were supportive of Tim through the process.
“We wish him all the best as he takes the next step in his coaching career.”
Clarke played 96 games for Hawthorn from 2001-08, and joined Richmond as a development coach for the 2010-11 seasons.
After a year overseas, he returned to Tigerland as coach of the Club’s VFL aligned club, Coburg, in 2013, before becoming the inaugural coach of the Richmond VFL team in 2014.
