A hard-working key forward, Fawcett was selected out of SANFL club Central District.
The 197cm youngster represented South Australia at the AFL National Under-18 Championships and showed versatility by also playing in defence.
He is a mobile goalkicker who provides an aerial presence.
Fawcett played his junior football at Golden Grove, the club that produced triple premiership Tiger Shane Edwards.
