Richmond has included Jack Dyer Medallist, Dion Prestia, and debutant Samson Ryan in its line-up for tomorrow night’s clash against St Kilda.

Prestia returns after missing the Round 13 loss to West Coast in Perth with hamstring tightness. The star onballer has averaged 25 disposals from his four completed games this season, and will add experience and class to the midfield.

Ryan, 20, was selected with the Club’s first pick (No. 40 overall) in last December’s 2020 AFL national draft and has played six matches for the VFL Tigers so far in 2021.

The 206cm forward/ruck will become the Tigers’ fifth senior debutant for the 2021 premiership season, alongside Rhyan Mansell, Will Martyn, Riley Collier-Dawkins and Hugo Ralphsmith.

"We thought he was a project player but his ability and drive to learn has been really important," Hardwick said about Ryan on Thursday morning.

"His game at VFL level last weekend was very, very good.

"He's tough in the contest for a guy of his size, he uses the ball at ground level very well, so we're really excited about what he's going to bring."

Coming out of last week’s 23 are Daniel Rioli, Hugo Ralphsmith and Josh Caddy who have been omitted.

Caddy has been named among the emergencies with youngsters Mansell and Collier-Dawinks and Richmond’s mid-season mature-aged recruit, Matthew Parker.

The Club will confirm which player steps into the 23 to serve as the medical substitute 60 minutes before the game.

Friday night’s match will be broadcast live on Channel 7, FOX FOOTY and Kayo Sports with the opening bounce at 7.50pm.
