Richmond equalled its all-time record for the most consecutive wins against Essendon in last Saturday night’s Dreamtime clash at Perth’s Optus Stadium.
It was the Tigers’ 11th victory in-a-row over the Bombers – a successful sequence that dates back to Round 20, 2014.
Richmond’s other 11-game winning run v Essendon was from Round 13, 1914 until Round 16, 1921.
The Tigers also had an 11-game unbeaten streak against the Dons (10 wins and a draw) from Round 15, 1972 to Round 18, 1977.
The Club’s longest non-winning stint in clashes with Essendon also was 11 (10 losses and a draw), from Round 17, 194 to Round 10, 1951.
