Richmond Football Club has informed AFLW player Alice Edmonds that she will not be offered a contract for the 2022 season.
Edmonds departs the Club as an inaugural AFLW Tiger, having been a part of the Richmond Women's program since its inception.
The 23-year-old ruck was the third VFLW Tiger to be elevated to Richmond’s maiden AFLW team after a standout 2018 VFLW season, in which she was named in the Team of the Year.
Edmonds played all six matches for Richmond across the 2020 AFLW season but did not feature in 2021.
"Alice has had a significant impact in helping to build our women’s program from the ground up," Head of Women's Football Kate Sheahan said.
"We thank her for her contributions to the club and wish her the best for the rest of her football career and other pursuits.
"Alice can be very proud of what she achieved at Richmond."
