Shai Bolton in action against Adelaide at Giants Stadium on Sunday.

Richmond excitement machine Shai Bolton made a seamless return to the playing field in yesterday’s match against Adelaide at Giants Stadium after missing two games with a broken wrist.

Bolton played a pivotal role in the Tigers’ 28-point win with 23 disposals, five inside-50s, one goal, nine score involvements, eight marks, four tackles and 497 metres gained.

The young dual premiership Tiger again showed why he is such an important member of the Yellow and Black line-up with his top-class display.

“He was good,” said Richmond’s coach Damien Hardwick

“Shai’s just one of those players who can make big plays at the times it’s needed.

“His centre bounce and clearance work are really important, but also his ability to set up teammates.

“He’s come back from a broken hand, which is always challenging . . . handling the ball can be a bit inconsistent at stages.

“I thought he got better as the game went on, and he’ll get better again next week.”
