THE AFL is appealing Bachar Houli's two-game suspension for striking Carlton's Jed Lamb.
The AFL Tribunal found the Richmond defender guilty of intentionally striking on Tuesday night.
The AFL announced on Wednesday it would appeal the Tribunal's decision, with a hearing on Thursday night.
The Club acknowledges the AFL is appealing the Houli decision and are currently considering the options available.
AFL has determined it will appeal Bachar Houli Tribunal case, on grounds sanction was manifestly inadequate.
