Richmond VFL has made just one change to its side for its interstate clash against Brisbane at the Gabba this Saturday, welcoming back forward/midfielder Noah Cumberland.

Cumberland, who missed the Round 5 win over GWS through injury, returns for his third game of the season.  

The Gabba is familiar territory for the 20-year-old, who is one of four Tigers returning to their home state for the clash, joining Mabior Chol, Samson Ryan and Will Martyn.

Cumberland, Martyn and Ryan are all former Brisbane Lions Academy players, while Cumberland and Martyn were part of the 2019 NEAFL premiership team.

Making way for Cumberland's return is Jake Soligo, who debuted with the Tigers last week. 

Richmond VFL heads into their first interstate game off the back of a resounding 97-point win over GWS last Saturday, where a number of Tigers continued to push their cases for senior selection. 

Speaking to the media on Wednesday morning, senior AFL coach Damien Hardwick spoke highly of Thomson Dow's performance, in what was his second game back after having his appendix removed.

"We've just had young Thomson Dow come back into our VFL side and had 31 touches. He's another player we'd love to get a look at," Hardwick said.
