Aside from Shai Bolton’s breathtaking mark, and his continued fine form on the night, Jake Aarts’ capacity to hit the scoreboard was a rare Richmond highlight in the Round 8 loss to Geelong at the MCG.
Aarts was the Tigers’ equal-leading goalkicker (Bolton the other) with three goals in the match.
He has kicked at least one goal in each of Richmond’s eight games so far in season 2021 and, overall, has 11 to his credit, which places him third on the Club’s goalkicking list, behind Jack Riewoldt (21) and Tom Lynch (14).
The 25-year-old small forward, who made his AFL debut with the Tigers in 2020, has played 22 games all-up at senior level and booted 25 goals.
